During the first semester of this year, the Los Cabos International Airport reached 4 million passengers, an increase of 16 percent over the same period in 2022, which was already a record-breaking year. The same period of 2022 was up 8 percent from 2021.
Modernization of the airport continues with an investment of nearly $60 million USD. New gates and the muchly needed eGates should be in operation this fall. The international terminal (2) is being expanded, as well as the waiting room of terminal 1, which serves domestic flights.
The private jet parking area has been expanded, too. Last, but not least, the GAP group, which operates the airport and several more along Mexico’s Pacific announced the acquisition of almost 200 acres of land as part of their plan to build another landing strip within the next ten years.
