Property owners in La Paz have until July 31, 2026 to take advantage of a 40% discount on property tax fines and surcharges by paying their balance in a single payment, according to Municipal Treasurer Jassiel Enríquez. “The benefit is available through July 31 and applies only to taxpayers who pay their outstanding balance in one payment,” Enríquez said.
After July, the discount will decrease to 35% during August.
Multiple payment options available
Enríquez encouraged property owners to make their payments at any of the city’s collection offices. Online payments are also available through the La Paz App, the municipal website at www.lapaz.gob.mx, and the city’s Urban Viewer platform, allowing residents to pay without visiting a collection office.
The city has gradually reduced the incentive throughout the year according to a local realtor. “I remember receiving an email notification in January when the discount was 60%, then it dropped to 50% in May, and now it’s 40%. For many homeowners, the opportunity to maximize their savings is running out.”
