An All-Inclusive Resort
Hacienda del Mar in Los Cabos is set to join the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio under the Autograph Collection, transitioning into an all-inclusive resort beginning July 1, 2025. The story of this venue began in 1995, when the renowned architectural firm Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo designed a hacienda-style resort featuring villa accommodations, courtyards, fountains, and winding garden pathways. At its heart stood a central building surrounded by 32 uniquely designed villas, each reflecting its own architectural charm. The result was the Sheraton Hotel Hacienda del Mar, a luxurious resort blending traditional Mexican colonial design with Mediterranean influences.
Today, the property remains celebrated for its colonial architecture and authentic Mexican hospitality. As it evolves into an all-inclusive destination, the resort aims to uphold its legacy of luxury, exceptional service, and timeless hacienda-style aesthetics. Located along the Tourist Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, it offers 270 rooms alongside a variety of dining venues, bars, wellness activities, and a full-service spa.
The culinary experiences are notably diverse. Guests can enjoy regional Mexican cuisine with live lounge music and curated wine pairings at Pitahayas Restaurant or opt for grilled meats and traditional stews at the casual taquería, Tahona. De Cortez offers an adult-only setting with premium meat cuts and a wine cellar boasting 120 labels, while Tortugas Beach Club serves fresh seafood tacos and cocktails, enhanced by live DJ sets. For Italian fare, Trattoria Pomodoro delivers wood-fired pizzas and handmade pasta in a Mediterranean-inspired setting. The exclusive Cava de Santiago, a 12-seat underground wine cellar, offers a reservation-only, seven-course tasting menu paired with select wines. Guests looking for more relaxed dining can visit Sirenas, which serves burgers and nachos by the ocean, or Canto de Sirenas for Southeast Asian dishes under a beachside palapa. Each morning can begin with a visit to Tomates, which features oceanfront breakfast buffets, coffee corners, sushi lounges, and bars.
Beyond dining, the resort offers a range of engaging experiences, including cooking classes, yoga sessions, Frida Kahlo-inspired painting workshops, and live traditional music. Guests may also encounter unique surprise moments such as black-and-white silent film screenings and lively street-style performances scattered throughout the property.
Designed to cater to both families and adults, the resort includes a kids’ club with supervised activities, five swimming pools, one reserved for adults, and thoughtfully curated spaces meant to encourage relaxation and elevated experiences. Through this new chapter, Hacienda del Mar remains committed to offering guests an immersive blend of culture, comfort, and hospitality in the heart of Los Cabos.
