The Santa Cruz Road Bridge was Inaugurated in the East Cape

The area of La Ribera is home to families engaged in fishing and operating tourist centers, as well as visitors.

It boasts beaches that attract people from various parts of the municipality and the state, featuring open access and calm waves that are safe for swimming.

During tropical hurricanes, both residents of these towns and tourists had to wait for hours or even days to leave the area, as traffic became impossible due to flooding during this time.

Recently, Governor Victor Castro inaugurated the new La Santa Cruz Bridge, which will safely connect the surrounding towns to La Ribera, benefiting over 3,000 people. The project required an investment exceeding 180 million pesos (approximately 9 million dollars) provided by the federal government.

The bridge spans 369 linear meters and is 10 meters wide, featuring two inclusive traffic lanes along with 2,400 square meters of sidewalks, solar lighting, and vertical and horizontal signage.

This development enhances the mobility of all those who need to travel to and from this popular part of Baja California Sur.

With this bridge, the residents of Santa Cruz and La Ribera now have a secure communication route, allowing them to travel more efficiently and safely.
