Game Over! No More Private Beaches in La Paz

Because it is the law. Period!

There has been significant controversy surrounding the privatization of the beaches in La Paz, and until today, three of them remained blocked.

Considering the recent pronouncement by state officials regarding the ongoing situation in Baja California Sur, the gates restricting access to La Paz’s iconic beaches will be demolished. The legal protection granted by the Federal Judiciary to the builders of these barriers has been revoked, as confirmed by La Paz City Hall Comptroller Pavel Castro. The beaches in question are “El Saltito”, “El Carrizalito”, and “Las Cruces” which currently have access gates with a fee for public use. Consequently, authorities will have the power to demolish them for obstructing free access via these state roads.

So far, so good, but stay tuned.
