The Hotel el Presidente in San Jose del Cabo, inaugurated in 1981 by the government-run Nacional Hotelera group, which later became El Presidente Intercontinental and lately a Holiday Inn, closed due to the pandemic in 2020 to never open again. This week, its demolition started, to make room for a newer, modern resort which name is yet to be revealed. Stay tuned.
