Unique Volkswagen Will Be Exhibited

A Volkswagen covered in 2.2 million colorful plastic beads will be on exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in downtown La Paz in the near future. We wonder who was counting the beads? Anyway, the design is typical of the Huichol Indian originals from the West Sierra Madre in Mexico. Their designs are antique traditional representation of visions induced by the ingestion of peyote, a small, spineless cactus which contains psychoactive alkaloids, particularly mescaline. Date of exhibit to be advised. Stay tuned.
