Skills in Action in the Waiters’ Contests at the Mango Fest in Todos Santos

Waiters and waitresses will face an obstacle course challenge during the Mango Festival in Todos Santos.

This Sunday, July 27, the traditional “Waiters’ Race” will be held as part of the 2025 Mango Festival in Todos Santos. So far, 70 participants have signed up for the event.

The activity aims not only to test their knowledge and skills but also to highlight the important role those working in the service industry play in tourism.

The 2025 Mango Festival features various activities, including the traditional shore fishing tournament and artistic and cultural events, with an expected attendance of more than 6,000 people.

Regarding the waiter race, it was emphasized that it is an obstacle course where participants must navigate obstacles while spilling as few drinks as possible on their trays. Additional challenges are planned, including table service, tray handling, taking orders, menu knowledge, cocktail preparation, speed, and customer service.

There are 35 participating restaurants and 40 artisans. The festivities will wrap up in early August with the San Ignacio neighborhood festival.
