Los Cabos Airport Prepares for Summer Travel Surge

With summer vacation season underway, Los Cabos International Airport is bracing for a sharp increase in passenger traffic. The Pacific Airport Group (Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, or GAP) has released key travel tips to help ensure a smooth, safe, and accessible experience for all travelers.

Due to ongoing construction at the Fonatur roundabout and expected congestion at ticket counters and security checkpoints, GAP advises passengers to arrive early and plan for potential delays.

To help speed up the process, the airport offers E-gates, and automated access points that streamline entry to security areas and improve passenger flow.

Travelers are encouraged to consult flight status and gate information via the terminal’s digital screens or the Aeropuertos GAP app, available on iOS and Android.

For passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility, GAP provides GAP Blue, a free assistance service that must be requested at least 72 hours in advance via the GAP website. The program includes help from Passenger Experience Agents (EPACs) and access to a physical support kit. Wheelchairs are also available at no cost at the airport’s information desk.

Airport personnel wearing green vests are stationed throughout the terminal and are trained to assist with directions, answer questions, and handle passenger needs.
