It is in their best interest
Approximately 105 street vendors and local businesses came together to take part in cleanup activities at the Cabo San Lucas Marina. Their efforts focused on a 2.5-kilometer stretch, where they used 100% biodegradable products to wash the floor and successfully removed hundreds of pieces of chewing gum. This collaborative initiative, in support of municipal authorities, aimed to beautify one of the most visited areas by tourists in Cabo San Lucas.
The success of this effort can be attributed to the ongoing communication and engagement between municipal authorities and the community. The street vendors who participated gathered at the Tourist Information Center (CATTAC) before moving along the main walkway, using water that was not suitable for human consumption for their cleaning tasks.
It’s important to recognize that maintaining a positive image for visitors is a shared responsibility between the municipality and all those involved in the tourism economy.
