Fundraising is always more difficult during the summer months when the snowbirds leave town and there are fewer tourists. With innovation and creativity, we have some great opportunities for you (yes you!) to help us raise money for medical supplies for continued low-cost sterilizations at our clinic six days a week. Money is also needed to care for our shelter animals who stay with us until they get adopted. Sometimes that takes a long time — Ely recently found her forever home after waiting since February of 2023! We celebrate every adoption and hope you will visit us soon to meet the cats and dogs who are waiting for a forever home.
On Saturday, May 4, we invite you and your friends to join us for the Wags & Whiskers breakfast fundraiser at renowned Cabo San Lucas restaurant Casa Martin. Chef Roger Martin has planned an outstanding breakfast experience and is donating half the proceeds to LCHS. Space is limited to 70 guests so please don’t wait – make your reservation via Open Table. The cost is $65 per person and includes tax and service.
LCHS has just announced a Mother’s Day raffle for a beautiful diamond pendant necklace donated to us by Ed Feinstein Custom Design Jewelry. You get one raffle entry when you donate $24 to LCHS via PayPal (so we can keep track of the raffle entries). The necklace has a retail value of $2,000 USD. But that is not all – we will have a “SUMMER SILENT AUCTION” where donated art is displayed at different locations around Los Cabos and you can submit bids using a QR code. If you are outbid, we will notify you via email so you can place a higher bid. If you are not going to be in Cabo at the end of the auction (June 15, 2024), we will keep your item safe until you return. Detailed information will be available on our social media and website beginning in early May.
