Todos Santos Listed Among the Best. The Travel Pulse magazine has listed our quaint, Magical town of Todos Santos among The Seven Best Small Beach Towns in Mexico, saying: “The town with its narrow cobblestone streets is dotted with lovely restaurants and boutique shops. Its diverse range of ecosystems makes Todos Santos a fascinating place. Todos Santos Streets to be Paved. After several years of abandonment, due partly because the federal government eliminated the support to Magical Town from its budget, the Magical town of Todos Santos will get its main street and maybe a few more re-paved. Governor Victor Castro has allotted funds. Work will begin sometime this month, just when the rainy season gets here, so expect a delay in the pavement process. Sigh.

City Removes Water Slides From Beach. The beautiful and tranquil “El Coromuel” beach has seen the slides removed by city workers, as they were too damaged due to lack of maintenance. The slides were installed in the early 2000s by then-governor Narciso Agundez but were not kept in shape by following administrations. Sigh.
Over a Dozen Airplanes Going Into the Ocean. No, we are not talking about an accident. 15 old airplanes that belonged to AeroCalifornia airlines, which went bankrupt several years ago, will become reefs. The GAP group, which operates the Los Cabos international airport is in charge of deploying them in the ocean. The exact locations will be revealed at a later date.
Tourist Taxes Are Improving Cabo. The tourist tax that was approved last year is being put to good use. This time, it is being used to build a new one-mile-long drinking water pipeline from well # 5 to a dozen of highly populated barrios. So, thank you, precious tourists!
Love at Beach Under the Stars on Sunday. The Summer of Love Under the Stars Service, part of the Cabo Beach Church is taking place every Sunday at Las Viudas beach, just past the Grand Fiesta Americana resort, from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Enjoy listening to powerful traditional worship music as well as an uplifting sermon preached by Pastor Rick Gordon, a.k.a. “The Surfing Pastor” under the moonlight. It is part concert, part service, part picnic. New Cruise Ships Dock in La Paz. The plan to expand the existing dock at Pichilingue to welcome up to two cruise ships at the same time continues, said the Mexican Association of Cruise Ships Services. It is an old plan but work will begin real soon and will include a restaurant, bar and several attractions for locals and visitors.
Trio of Foundations Donate Bus. The Questro and Traxión Foundations and InterProtection donated a new bus to be used by the San Jose del Cabo Technological Institute to transport students from the Miraflores and Santiago communities every day. “The students will now be able to reach their dreams,” said Tessy Redo, from the Questro Foundation upon delivery. Their old bus was breaking down constantly and the road to those communities does not have a shoulder to park safely in case of emergency.
Foreign Investment in our State Up and Up. A total of $662 million USD were invested in Southern Baja last year, said the Economy secretariat. Of those, $589 million were in tourist investment.
Mayor Reveals Another Option for Power. Mayor Oscar Leggs said that the city dump was leased to a corporation that will turn trash into electricity. The company is currently working on all the installations and should begin pumping electricity to the CFE before the end of the year.
