La Paz is ready to celebrate Christmas with a full program of family activities, performances, and the traditional vehicle parade that fills the streets with holiday cheer.
The festivities begin with a Christmas story reading at the Children’s Library from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., led by Ernesto Adams Ruiz. The reading will open an evening of entertainment centered around families and children.
Starting at 5:00 p.m., the Open-Air Theater in downtown La Paz will host performances by Just K-Pop, Ana Sofía Picos, the Cadet Folkloric Ballet, and the Yubarta Choir. Their program will combine music, dance, and theater in a lively showcase on the main stage. Admission is free and open to everyone.
The ISC Cultural Market will also be part of the celebration, featuring local artisans selling handmade crafts, decorations, and traditional foods. A raffle and various children’s activities will add to the festive atmosphere.
The highlight of the season, the traditional Christmas Vehicle Parade, will take place on December 21. More than 150 vehicles, including floats and decorated cars, will set off at 6:00 p.m. from the corner of 5 de Febrero and Isabel la Católica streets, heading toward the Malecón.
Mayor Milena Quiroga confirmed that the La Paz City Council will participate for the second consecutive year in the parade, an event founded by local resident “Kiko Rodríguez.” The municipality will provide logistical support to ensure safety and smooth coordination throughout the evening.
This is a family-friendly event where everyone can enjoy the spectacle of vehicles adorned with lights, characters, music, and goody bags for children.
