Work on the Fonatur Roundabout will be suspended from December 20 to January 5 to ease holiday traffic congestion.
According to Roberto Flores, Director General of Urban Development, the break coincides with the construction company’s planned rest period after seven months of continuous day and night work on the overpass.
Flores reported that the project is 62% complete and that nighttime shifts have accelerated progress. The temporary pause, he added, should help improve traffic flow during the busy Christmas and New Year’s travel season.
