A new children’s playground is set to open on the La Paz boardwalk, featuring play structures and exercise equipment, according to plans announced by the Baja California Sur Comprehensive Port Authority (APIBCS).
The playground will be located on the historic Muelle Fiscal (Fiscal Pier) as part of a broader effort to upgrade tourism infrastructure in the area.
Narciso Agúndez, head of APIBCS, said the project aims to expand the current space, which he described as limited to “a small boat and some swings” into a healthy recreational area for children. In addition to updated play structures, the site will include fitness equipment for all ages.
While a construction timeline has not yet been confirmed, APIBCS is currently securing funding to bring the project to life.
