Enjoy the Local Celebrations at La Playa Festival 2025

In Mexico, it is very common to see almost every municipality and barrio has their own traditional celebrations, and La Playita is no exception to this rule.

Traditional Festivals “La Playa 2025” will take place from June 6 to 8, with a series of civic, sporting, artistic, and cultural events and activities.

The festivities begin on Friday, June 6th, at 5:00 p.m. with a soccer and volleyball tournament, followed by the coronation ceremony of Jimena I, queen of the La Playa Traditional Festivals 2025. The event will take place on the community’s civic esplanade and will feature the participation of officials from the 15th Los Cabos City Council.

On Saturday, the 7th, the Ceviche and Flour Tortilla Making Contest will take place at 3:00 p.m., while the amateur singing competition will take place at 4:00 p.m. The activities continue until 10:00 p.m. with performances by “Los MYM” and “Miguel y Miguel.” Two very popular local bands.

On Sunday, the 8th, the Sand Modeling Contest will be held at 8:00 a.m., and starting at 4:00 p.m., there will be various contests, as well as a folkloric ballet performance. At 10:00 p.m., the Libra Group will perform, alternating with the Cabo Cinco group.

Although the 2025 La Playa Traditional Festivals were scheduled for June 1st, the Municipal Protection Council postponed them as a precautionary and safety measure considering the effects of Tropical Storm Alvin.
