Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of wealthy tourists arriving in private jets increased dramatically, prompting the San Jose International Airport to expand its FBO (Fixed-Base Operator) facilities. This expansion was necessary to accommodate the surge in private aircraft, a trend driven by the desire for more private and secure travel options during uncertain times.
By June of last year, however, the number of private jets began to decrease, reflecting a return to more regular travel patterns. But, in an interesting twist, the first quarter of this year has seen another uptick in private jet arrivals.
