Mexico’s Tourism in Numbers

To begin with, the total monies spent by tourists in June 2022 throughout Mexico was 20.2 percent up from $1.8 million USD in the previous year. The country received 31.9 million international tourists last year, up 31.3 percent from 2020. The industry employs 4.49 million people, exceeding the pre-pandemic record of 4.487 million. Just in the second quarter of this year, tourism employed 14.3 percent more people than in 2021.
