Search for Missing Marina del Rey Boat Captain Intensifies

A large sailboat named “The Cat” and belonging to Captain William “Bill” Walter Austin III, showed up on a beach south of Loreto near Nopolo. Personal belongings, a small doggie and Austin’s I.D. were found inside. His daughter Shaylyn has contacted the authorities and told them that her dad had left California Monday, March 7th with La Paz as his destination. Groups of local concerned citizens and Navy personnel are looking for him. If you happen to have some information or saw him somewhere, call the Navy station in Loreto at 613-135-0644.
