Balandra Beach Access Restricted

The most beautiful beach in La Paz. according to Mexico Desconocido magazine, is charging 50 pesos (about $2.50 USD) to access, but only to national and foreign tourists. Locals’ access is free. After all, it is OUR beach, isn’t it? Now, restrictions have been upped. The maximum number of people that will be allowed to visit – by car – is 280. Add to that the people that arrive by boat, which are many in a large number of tours that arrive from La Paz. In the past, up to 5,000 people showed up in weekends. No more.
