Fee to Access Balandra Beach Announced

The world famous, pristine beach of Balandra, located near La Paz past the ferry boats terminal, will be strictly controlled next year. The state’s tourism ministry stated that a fee of 25 pesos (about $1.20 USD) per person will be charged at the entrance next year, without providing an exact date. The tourism agency is also developing an App for people to be able to book their visit and pay in advance. The revenue will be used for the conservation of the area.
