Know what to expect at Medano Beach this Holiday

Medano Beach

The Cabo San Lucas Harbor Master’s Office cancelled motorized water activities at El Médano Beach from April 17 to 20. This is to ensure the safety of beachgoers by preventing any potential danger from propeller-driven boats.

All authorized motorized vessels will need to leave the marina following a designated navigation route and will not be allowed to approach the shoreline. A safety perimeter has been visibly displayed and marked in front of all beachfront properties.

During this time, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) will still be available for use. However, water taxis, which are usually allowed to approach the beach to pick up or drop off people, will not be permitted to cross the safety perimeter during Semana Santa. This temporary restriction aims to reduce maritime traffic in the beach area.

Furthermore, jet skis are usually not allowed within the safety perimeter under normal regulations, and they will remain strictly prohibited during this week due to the Port Authority’s holiday restrictions.
