Cabo San Lucas is accepting applications from food and craft vendors who want to set up shop during this year’s Independence Day celebrations. The municipality has made 57 commercial spaces available for the three-day event, which runs from Sunday, September 13 through Tuesday, September 15 at the delegational plaza.
The vendor program is designed to support local commerce while keeping the celebration organized and secure. Vendors can choose between fixed booths that remain in place for the entire weekend or semi-fixed setups that are taken down each night.
How to Apply
Interested vendors can register at two municipal offices: the Pabellón Cultural de la República or the office at Plaza Tres Vírgenes. According to Alfredo Güereña González, coordinator of municipal revenue for Cabo San Lucas, spaces are filling up but still available for vendors who act quickly.
For those who cannot visit during regular business hours, municipal staff will be on-site at the delegational plaza on Friday, September 11 starting at 3:00 p.m. to assign spaces and collect fees.
What It Costs
Fixed booths, which remain installed for all three days, cost 1,500 pesos (roughly $88 USD). Semi-fixed booths that vendors set up daily and take down each evening cost 700 pesos (around $41 USD) for the full weekend.
The fees cover the commercial license for the event period. Vendors will also benefit from security patrols that will watch over structures overnight, according to municipal officials.
What Happens During the Celebration
The commercial spaces will operate alongside the official Independence Day program, which includes the traditional Grito ceremony on the evening of September 15. The delegational plaza serves as the main venue for Cabo San Lucas festivities, drawing both locals and visitors for food, music and patriotic commemorations.
Vendors should expect high foot traffic throughout the weekend as families gather for the events. The municipality has emphasized that security will be present to ensure public order and protect commercial installations.

Space assignments are handled on a first-come basis. Vendors are encouraged to bring identification and be prepared to pay the registration fee at the time of sign-up.
