Mexico’s President Visits La Paz

In a quickie trip, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) landed in La Paz Saturday to officially inaugurate the new eight kilometer long, two lane addition to the road from the city to the port of Pichilingue. This will help semi-truck traffic that arrives on the ferry boat from the mainland everyday and reduce accidents. AMLO was welcomed by our state governor Carlos Mendoza, who asked him for additional funding to expand to the highway to four lanes to the north and a new detour road from La Paz to Cabo.
