By popular demand, the Philanthropic Initiatives Foundation (FIF) is hosting its third free public seminar on the often-overlooked psychological impacts of poverty and the crucial role culture plays in shaping our understanding and approaches.
Led by Adam Moss, this educational event will introduce concepts like “social safety nets” and the potential for “dependency” while emphasizing the importance of addressing psychological motivators alongside material needs. Attendees will also be introduced to the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) model, a powerful framework for empowering local communities to become active agents in their progress, among other sustainable and scalable solutions.
Please note that this is not a fundraiser, and this next event will be held at Gratitude Coffee Shop, located at Revolution de 1910 1243, Downtown La Paz, on Friday, May 30th. Doors open at 5 PM, and the presentation will begin at 6 PM. Attendees are invited to enjoy Gratitude’s signature mocktail and sample their delicious Venezuelan small plates.
