Sign up for the La Paz half marathon
The race, to benefit the IMM (Municipal Institute for Women), will occur on Sunday, May 12th, at the Malecon, starting at 7:00 PM. This sporting event is part of the activities commemorating the 490th anniversary of the founding of La Paz.
The competition will feature three different distances: a half marathon (21 km), a 10 km, and a 5 km, as well as children’s categories. The open categories will be men’s and women’s, divided into the following groups: Junior (15 to 19 years), Open (20 to 39 years), Masters (40 to 49 years), Veterans (50 to 59 years), and Veterans Plus (60 years and older).
Registration includes a participant number, commemorative t-shirt, timing chip, and finisher’s medal. Medical services, certified judges, and properly marked support stations will also be available to ensure the safety of runners.
The registration fee for the half marathon is 400 pesos, while the fees for the 5 km and 10 km distances are 300 pesos. Registration can be done by calling 612 122 77 88.
As an additional incentive, those who register before April 30th will be eligible for special promotions: participants who register another person will receive a 50% discount on their own registration; for group registrations of at least ten people, each person will receive a 50% discount on the half marathon or 10 km distance.
Likewise, for every adult registration, one child will be able to participate free of charge.
Winners in each category will receive cash prizes. In addition, special awards will be given for the best times recorded in the half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km distances.
