Los Cabos Expects to Break Attendance Record at Upcoming Tennis Tournament

The 2025 Mifel Tennis Open is set to take place from July 14 to 19 at the Cabo Sports Complex, drawing international tennis stars like Andrey Rublev, Lorenzo Musetti, and Denis Shapovalov. In addition to world-class competition, the event is expected to generate significant economic benefits for the region.

Since its debut in 2016, the tournament has seen consistent growth. Organizers anticipate surpassing last year’s attendance record of 34,000 spectators and estimate an economic impact of $6.4 million.

This prestigious event will feature top-ranked players including Russia’s Andrey Rublev (ATP No. 9), Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti (No. 16), and Canada’s Denis Shapovalov (No. 30), further establishing Los Cabos as a global tennis destination.

Beyond showcasing elite athletes, the tournament promotes sports tourism and contributes to the local economy while elevating Los Cabos’ international profile.

New additions this year include ELC Live, a live electronic review system used at top international tournaments, which enhances match accuracy and eliminates the need for line judges. A sixth court will also be added to improve facilities and enhance the experience for both players and fans.

Throughout the week, attendees can enjoy a range of special events such as Kids Nite where players host clinics for children, Family Day, Tennis Talk, the Players Party, and Tennis Golf. All designed to enrich the fan experience and create a comprehensive celebration of the sport.
