Could Los Cabos be the next big destination for nudist tourism? Hector Martinez, a well-known Mexican nudist and advocate for body freedom, thinks so. He has officially proposed the establishment of a nudist beach in Los Cabos, asserting that it could boost tourism significantly. Drawing inspiration from the famous Zipolite beach in Oaxaca, known for its relaxed clothing-optional policy, Martinez believes a similar setup could thrive in the sunny climes of Los Cabos.
The proposal is currently with the city council, awaiting a decision. If approved, Los Cabos could join a list of select global destinations that cater to nudist tourists, offering them a place to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, unhindered by clothing.
Supporters of the initiative argue that it would not only increase tourist numbers but also promote a culture of acceptance and freedom. Detractors, however, raise concerns about public decency and the potential impact on local traditions and values.
As the city council deliberates, the community and potential visitors are buzzing with opinions. Could this be a bold new direction for Los Cabos tourism, or is it a step too far? What’s your take—should Los Cabos embrace the nudist beach idea?
Noooo!
No Way – Cabo is a Family Destination !
EXACTLY!! No efin way!!!
Definitely! If you oppose, don’t go. Freedom is having the right to make conscious decisions for oneself. Nothing free about denying persons based on one’s prejudices.
I support the notion of clothing optional. The article does not tell you that Zipolite allows the open use of weed and has an Amsterdam and gay culture. The “rights and freedoms “ doesn’t allow a man to wiggle his dong in front of you. There should be controls and etiquette practices, that if violated result in a hefty fine.
Nude and exposing yourself are not the same thing!
Not a real good idea; let’s keep all the beaches family friendly without exception.
No! Los Cabos is not hurting from a lack of tourist. I’m for keeping with the values of our local people.
How many adult male and females over the age of fifty are pleasant to look at bare ass, hmmph?
One in fifty?
Ages ago we innocently visited the beach in Oaxaca with the kids. They still recall their shock as they came running back to our van explaining that many of the people there had no clothes.
Our youngest innocently inquired “Mom. dad how come they aren’t wearing bathing suits?”
We were understandably speechless and left…
lol please! I remember when the photographer from penthouse came down in 86/87 and was shooting on the beaches!
Yes of course they should. No one has to go unless they make a de vision to do so. That’s it.
