New Road to Be Built in Cabo. Governor Victor Castro announced that Sebastián Romo, who owns the Cabo San Lucas airport, will build a new road from his airport to the toll road between San Jose del Cabo and the International airport. The construction will begin soon and alleviate vehicle traffic from the Cabo San Lucas Airport to downtown Cabo.
Repairs to the Transpeninsular Highway Continue. Governor Victor Castro stated the repairs to the highway between La Paz and Guerrero Negro continue and should be finished within two months. President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador also announced this morning his administration sent us a check for nearly USD 32 million for the repairs.
More Water for La Paz Approved. The USD 26 million project to build an additional dam in La Paz has been approved by the National Water Commission and the geophysics studies are taking place now. The next step is to apply for funding to the Hacienda ministry (sort of the IRS and Canada Revenue) and the construction would start early next year. The 656-foot-long dam would benefit over 20,000 families.
New Domestic Flight Announced for Los Cabos. The ASG (Aereo Servicios Guerrero) Airline has announced a new route from Los Cabos to Creel, in Chihuahua northern Mexico, the site to watch and enjoy the famous Copper Canyon. The aircraft are 17-passenger Cessna Caravans, which ASG already flies from Cabo to Los Mochis and Ciudad Obregón in Sonora. Stay tuned for the flight’s starting date.
