Newest Mexican Airline to Fly to Cabo

You won’t believe this – Mexicana de Aviación is back in the skies starting April 1st! President Andres Manuel López Obrador has breathed new life into the airline, using a leased Boeing 737-800s straight out of Mexico City’s shiny Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Angeles (AIFA). But just when we thought it was all clear skies, storm clouds are gathering. Only three months post-takeoff, and they’re already hitting major turbulence with a whopping US $840 million lawsuit.

Turns out, a Texas company that was all in to help Mexicana de Aviación get off the ground – from scoring them aircraft to other key services – is now suing them over what they call some serious contract flubs. What’s next for our resurrected airline? Keep an eye on the Gringo Gazette for the full scoop. It’s like a soap opera up there!
