New Dam for Cabo San Lucas Requested

Los Cabos Mayor Oscar Leggs, has submitted a request to the national water commission (Conagua) to fund the construction of a new dam that would retain water that right now runs into the ocean at the Arroyo Seco. This dry river bed is the one that washed away the Chevrolet dealership due to strong currents caused by hurricane Odile in 2014. State governor Victor Castro said that he will not build a dam in La Paz because “the water  evaporates quickly.” Sigh.
