Are Mexican Tacos Endangered?

No, but their price is increasing fast. The Mexican government has not been able to stop inflation, which is up by nearly 8 percent. In despite of President AMLO vowing that the prices of basic staples are controlled, they are not. The cost of one kilo of corn tortillas (about 2 lb.) has increased from 14 pesos to 25 in the past 3 years, and it seems that they will be 28 pesos a kilo this month. Tortillas are possibly the most consumed staple in Mexico.
