A total of 12 baby leatherback sea turtles (Dermochelys coriacea) were released yesterday by Sea Turtle Protection Network and the ASUPMATOMA organization volunteers. The eggs were found and rescued 2 months ago in the Pacific side of Cabo, at the Sunset beach of the Pueblo Bonito resort. The eggs had been placed in a warm nest as the cold temperature would have prevented their hatching.
