Walmart Backs Off and Reverses Controversial Decision

Bending to popular pressure and protests throughout Mexico, the Walmart store chain has agreed to hire back the thousands of “abuelitos,” or elderly bagging people that were assisting shoppers bag their groceries until the pandemic sent them home. These were an approximate 30,000 adults that were left without an income for the past 16 months. Only the ones who are fully vaccinated will return, stated Walmart on its press release. We are happy to see them back, tip them generously!
