They’re Baaack!

Daline Jones and Diego Ramirez, two of the locals’ favorite singer and musicians are back in town after playing for the 2019 Life Luxe Jazz Experience at Vidanta resort in San Jose. The public and organizers liked them so much that they are once again part of the line-up this coming November. Mark our calendars!

For now, Daline and Diego’s current Cabo schedule includes Cascadas resort every Tuesday, at Solomon's Landing on Wednesdays (aka Daline and the Recyclers as they are joined by Ender Lee on guitar; a lot of fun!), Friday nights at the new Il Forno Trattoria (old Peacock’s restaurant near Medano Beach and Sunday afternoons at Cerritos Beach Inn; a new place down the beach but the same happy Sunday vibe! New Ferry trip announced

Or rather, the return of a fave one. Baja Ferries, whose ferry boats travel from Topolobampo in the mainland to La Paz, has announced they will resuscitate their Mazatlan – La Paz route early this year with their Baja Starship. Its 705 passengers and 1,650 linear meters of cargo space will surely help increase the arrival – and departure – of foreign tourists and locals who move back and forth between the mainland and La Paz to visit their relatives.

$600 Million Investment Stalled

AM Resorts, part of the Apple Leisure Group conglomerate announced that it has put a $600 million planned investment on hold. The main reasons: lack of tourist promotion by Mexico’s federal government, the increase in the supply of hotel rooms and decline on demand, and, last but not least, the continuous increasing in electricity costs. AM Resorts operates 23 hotels in Mexico’s Caribbean destinations of Cancun, the Mayan Riviera and the Cozumel island.
