Plastic Banned As Of This Month

Starting this Friday, August 16, the sale and use of plastic bags, cups, straws, cutlery,  Styrofoam containers and coolers will be banned throughout our Southern Baja state. Some major stores like Walmart, La Comer and Chedraui have been selling different types of eco-friendly bags to their customers, promoting the habit of bringing your own cloth bags or cardboard boxes when shopping.

There are a few exceptions like containers for food delivery and containers in hospitals, but all plastic and Styrofoam will be eliminated within the next 2 years until we reach 100 percent of no plastic.

There is no word yet on eliminating plastic bottles. You have been warned.
