Letters To The Editor

Most employees have been laid off in Cabo San Lucas and most businesses are closed due to the virus. In many cases, there is little or no financial help for the workers or their families.

The minimum wage is 120 pesos a day, or about five dollars a day. A 1 L of boxed milk costs about .75;  one chicken about $3.50-$4. People need food and basic necessities like hand and dish soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, diapers.

How to help?

Prepare boxes of rice, beans, lentils, pasta, milk, fruit, onions, canned goods, tuna, tomato sauce, oil.

Contact your housekeepers, gardeners, pool guys, guards, pastors, or churches for referrals to their friends or family in need, or community kitchens and have them arrange pickup or delivery.

You can also contact DIF or “For the love of Cabo” on Facebook to donate or Cabo.rentals@mail.com for more info.

Thank you all.
