Doc Wine Bar Offers A Wonder Experience

BY: LISA VAUGHAN

Doc Wine Bar and Restaurant, located on Calle Cabo San Lucas next to Mi Casa Restaurant facing Plaza Amelia Wilkes, offers an incredible atmosphere, a menu that is delicious, and impeccable service.

The restaurant is small and intimate with low lighting for ambiance, and they offer balcony seating outside. Don't be fooled by the beautiful entrance and signage. Yes, they are first-class but not at first-class prices.

They are an authentic Italian restaurant with a menu that Chef Jorse Veiaide prepares. The menu is elegant, non-complicated and is extraordinary in excellence. The menu is written in Italian. Options consist of Antipasti, Salueria Mista, Primi Piatti, and Carne E Pesce. The house specialty Antipasti is Cozze Gorgonzona which is fresh mussels, sauteed in blue cheese covered with a creamy white sauce with Baguette and Ciabatta bread served on the side. Although the menu is written in Italian, all of the attentive wait staff are bilingual and will assist you with your selections. In addition, they have a wine cellar that offers a vast variety of wine selections. The wine master and bartender, Angel Yelasquec, will assist you with a proper paring with your dining selection or give you samples at their quaint bar area. They also offer a full bar.

The Owner Ramon Pavva has owned the restaurant for 10 years and Carlos Bonilla has managed the restaurant for the past eight years. Their establishment is staffed with extremely dedicated customer service individuals. When dining there, you are treated like royalty, and if it is a special occasion, they go beyond the call of duty to make your event rememberable.

Doc Wine Bar is open seven days a week from 2 p.m. until 11 pm. but will also accommodate larger parties until midnight. Every Wednesday and Saturday they have live music from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. They can be reached on 624-143-8500 (Mexico, country code 52) or at info@docwine.com.mx and on Facebook at doc wine bar.
