This special course is directed to people interested in polishing their writing literary skills, through the guide of international recognized writers. October 31. Thursday. 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Catrinas Contest. The Catrina or Catrina Garbanzera (Elegant Skull). An icon from the Day of the Dead Mexican culture, the female skeleton dressed imitating the French style while wearing lots of makeup to make her skin look whiter was created by the illustrator Jose Guadalupe Posada at the beginning of the 20’s century as a satirical portrait of those Mexican natives who were aspiring to adopt European aristocratic traditions in the pre-revolution era. As part of The Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. Organized by the City’s Cultural Institute. Plaza Mijares, Downtown San José del Cabo. Spanish with some help in English. Free.

November 1 and 2. Friday and Saturday. Los Cabos International Film Festival. The Cine Para Todos (Movies for all) program expands the projections to La Paz with Los Cabos Cultural Institute collaboration. Two open air projections for all audience. Free. More info soon.

November 1 and 2. Friday and Saturday. 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Todos Santos Día de Muertos Party. This is the 3rd year celebrating the Day of Dead traditional Mexican fiesta at the Magic Town of Todos Santos. Altars exhibition, Catrina dance, Historic walking, musical night, Catrinas fashion show, poetry and more. Organized by Amamos Nuestro Pueblo A.C. All the fees to benefit three different charities, The Palapa Society for families in need, The Todos Santos Elderly, and Todos Santos Police equipment. Main Plaza, Todos Santos. English and Spanish. November 2.  Saturday. 8 p.m.  Emmanuel in Concert. The recognized 80’s Mexican pop Singer in concert singing his most popular songs as part of the Todos Santos Dia de Muertos Party. November 2. Saturday.  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Altars of the Dead 2019. A colorful cultural tradition preserved by generations since the ancient Aztec pagan ceremonies, Mexicans celebrated it to honor and remember their loved ones who have died. During this celebration will be showing at the Altares, the bread of the dead, the sugar skulls, the cempasuchil flowers, the colorful sheets of Mexican confetti cut with allusive figures and of course the food that the deceased liked most. School and Universities will be participating with more tha 20 altars, Catrinas Contest and an artistic program. Puerto Paraiso Mall, Downtown San Lucas.  Spanish with some help in English. Free.

November 3. Sunday. 6 p.m.  Air Supply in Concert. The Soft Rock Australian duo considered as the 80’s one successful group will be for the first time in La Paz.  Arturo C.
