June 3. Wednesday. 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Aggiungi un posto a tavola (The deluge that’s coming) is a musical comedy written by Pietro Garinei, Sandro Giovannini and Iaia Fiastri, which debuted in 1974 under the direction of Garinei and Giovannini. Music was written by Armando Trovaioli. By Students of Peninsula college to benefit the San Miguel community center for the Elder. Donations welcome. In Spanish.

June 3. Wednesday. 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Annie The musical  by the students of the Peninsula College as part of their cultural activities. Spanish. First function to benefit the Cabo San Lucas orphanage (Casa Hogar) and the elderly community center (Casa de Dia). Entrance $60 pesos. June 13 Saturday. 7:00 pm. Gala de Danza. International guest artists from dance companies around the world representing the Marinsky Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre, the New York City Ballet, the San Francisco Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, and the Ballet West. Red rocker and former Van Halen lead guitarist Sammy Hagar as special guest. We’re thinking we probably don’t want to see him in a tutu. General admission $50 USD. VIP admission $100 USD. May 28. Thursday. 8:00 pm. Laurence Anyways. (2012). Written and directed by Xavier Dolan.  A drama that charts ten years in the relationship of a male-to-female transexual’s relationship with her lover. English with Spanish subtitles. Free.

June 4. Thursday. 8:00 pm. Show Me The Love (Fuking Amâl) A 1998 comedy, drama, romance. Swedish film directed by Lukas Moodysson author of American Pie The movie.  Lves of two seemingly disparate teenage girls who begin a tentative romantic relationship.  English with Spanish subtitles. Free.

June 7. From 5:00 pm to 12:00 am. Sunday. World Music Fest. Music in the streets and the main plaza in San Jose. This diverse festival combines all styles, audiences and countries, artists and music-lovers of all ages gather all over the world, live music with several local bands, in commemoration of the World’s Music Day. Our local event also features cultural exhibition and sale of arts & crafts. San Jose’s downtown streets will be closed to vehicle traffic. Starts at 5pm and go on until 2 am. Every Thursday. 7:00 pm. Libroteca at the Circoteka. Reading club for kids. Actors disguised read and act a short story for the kids. Libroteca is part of a Reading lounges organized by The Ysabela’s little sister.
