Beach Restrictions During Holy and Easter Weeks

In Los Cabos, it is a tradition to camp out on the beach during the Holy and Easter Weeks, as everyone and their dogs are on vacation. This year due to Covid-19, camping will be a no-no throughout Southern Baja. The beaches will be open to the public from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm only, providing that only 50% of the area is occupied by suntanners. In Los Cabos, only 11 beaches will be open: Medano, Las Viudas, Santa Maria, Chileno, El Tule, Palmilla, Acapulquito, Costa Azul, La Playa, La Ribera, La Gaviota and 2 more on the East Cape. Loreto beaches will be shut down. Those not complying with this restrictions risk a 36-hour jail time and the impounding of their beach gear. The Army, Navy, National Guard, State and City police will be watching. You have been warned!
