La Paz Airport Adds Four Weekly Flights to Los Angeles

La Paz International Airport will launch four weekly flights to Los Angeles starting in August, according to airport director Sahari Castro. The additional routes are expected to generate more than $53 million in economic impact, with plans to expand service later this year.

Dr. Eduardo Santoyo of the Early Risers Group said the expansion is part of a broader effort with the state government to attract more international flights and boost tourism.

“We’re very excited,” said Santoyo. “Starting in August, we’ll have four weekly flights to Los Angeles, and we’re aiming to increase that number by the end of the year.”

Castro also announced a $105.7 million USD investment in airport infrastructure over the next five years. Improvements will include expanded check-in counters, upgraded departure and baggage claim areas, modernized security inspection points, and a full rehabilitation of the airfield, including runway resurfacing.

The Pacific Airport Group, which operates 12 terminals nationwide, will invest an additional $3 million during the same period. Castro emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of service as the airport undergoes these upgrades.

“We must continue operations while work is underway, improve commercial services with diverse, high-quality offerings, and, above all, maintain close, professional relationships with our valued passengers,” she said.
