As part of the 490th Anniversary of the foundation of the city
A Cabalgata in Mexico is a cultural tradition referring to a ride or procession, particularly a mounted parade, often associated with celebrations or festivities.
The third Horseback ride for La Paz is scheduled to begin at the San Pedro Bridge, taking place Sunday, May 18th.
The Municipal Director of Culture, Juan Lara, announced that the ride will start at 8:00 a.m. from the San Pedro Bridge and will proceed toward the state capital, concluding at noon at the Mano Amiga Bridge in a well-known neighborhood in La Paz.
Following this, the traditional Ranchero Festival will commence at this location.
This year’s parade will honor Nery Senen, a well-known advocate of equestrian traditions in Baja California Sur. His contributions will be celebrated during the event, which will also feature the crowning of Ana Aracely Flores as “Queen of United Stables of La Paz 2025.”
The Ranchero Festival will provide a venue for families to gather and enjoy music, food, and cultural activities as part of the festivities marking the 490th anniversary of La Paz’s founding. Local authorities anticipate significant participation from both residents and tourists.
Juan Lara encouraged everyone to join the celebration: “We want all La Paz families and those who visit us to join this celebration that celebrates our roots and strengthens the sense of regional identity.”
