Personnel from the Fourth Naval Zone, acting as the Coast Guard, conducted the medical evacuation of two foreigners near Los Dolores, BCS. This area is located around 73 miles northwest of the town of La Paz.
This action followed a distress call requesting support for the evacuation of a man and woman who were in an aircraft that made an emergency landing. Both were initially assisted by local fishermen, who transported them to the community of San Evaristo.
An interceptor patrol vessel was ordered to depart immediately from the pier of the Fourth Naval Zone, with specialized rescue personnel and Naval Medical Services onboard. Upon arrival, the individuals were evaluated and evacuated.
They were transferred to the pier of the ENSAR (Naval Search, Rescue, and Maritime Surveillance Station) in La Paz and are in stable condition.
