All profits go to charity
This traditional Gastronomic Festival in its twelfth edition will take place on Friday, May 30th, in Paraíso del Mar.
More than 130 South California restaurants and chefs will participate in this grand event, offering diners their creations made with top-quality local ingredients.
This year, participating restaurants have pledged to donate a minimum of 1,200 portions of snacks, while attendees will be able to enjoy a wide variety of food, wines, tequilas, whiskey, and both craft and commercial beers. Event attendees will also enjoy artistic performances during the five-hour festival.
This is the largest event held in La Paz, Baja California Sur, and this year six local organizations will benefit, including the Mexican Red Cross, DIF La Paz, Corazón de Niño, La Paz Youth Integration Center, CRIT La Paz, and the Fire Department. All funds raised will be donated to these organizations.
CANIRAC, (National Chamber of the Restaurant and Food Industry) theorganizer of this event, announced that the ticket price will be $150 USD, which will include unlimited food and beverages, as well as transportation to and from the event.
The president of the CANIRAC of La Paz emphasized the importance of purchasing tickets directly from the beneficiary institutions, as this ensures that the funds reach their assistance programs. “Let’s remember that this is a 100% altruistic, non-profit event, so the support we receive, both from authorities and private institutions, is essential for us to determine a ticket price. This, coupled with details we can correct from the previous edition, allowed us to offer a slightly more affordable price for everyone, which we know guarantees a packed venue,” he explained.
