Businesspeople Demand an Investigation from Authorities!
Concerns have arisen in Cabo San Lucas regarding the extraction of water from a well near the El Tule area. This activity has sparked doubt and surprise among residents and the local business community.
Reports indicate that approximately 40 water trucks are filling up daily, extracting water at a rate of around nine gallons per second.
Business leaders in Los Cabos warn that this private extraction is significantly impacting the water supply, particularly in northern Cabo San Lucas, where shortages are already severe. They urge authorities to clarify the situation for the benefit of all residents.

Julio Castillo, President of the Coordinating Council of Los Cabos, announced that an official letter will be sent to OOMSAPAS (the Water Supply Operator of Los Cabos), requesting an explanation regarding the permits granted for this well’s operation.
Castillo also stated that a working group will soon convene with OOMSAPAS officials to identify those responsible for the well’s operation. Most importantly, he emphasized the need to ensure that the extracted water benefits the local population, many of whom struggle with daily shortages of this essential resource.
