Service Extended for Festivities
Public transportation in La Paz will see modified routes and extended service hours until 2:00 AM during the Carnival festivities, with special rates applying from 11:00 PM. The Tiburon Urbano, Calafia, and various California routes will offer hourly departures or every fifteen minutes until past midnight, while the Los Planes route and nearby areas will have later departures.
The public transport authorities have announced that in agreement with the concessionaires of the public transportation service, service hours will be extended to accommodate the Carnival schedule. The Urban Shark and Calafia routes will run until 2:00 AM, with departures every hour from downtown to various neighborhoods. Additionally, California routes including 5 de Mayo-Guelatao, Pitahaya-Olas Altas, Camino Real-Ayuntamiento, and Progreso-Valle del Mezquite-Perlas del Golfo will have departures every fifteen minutes, starting from the center and concluding at 2:15 AM.
Fares during these extended hours will be $1.50 per person for inner La Paz routes and $6.50 for trips to Los Planes and adjacent areas.
