For this high cruise season, the Mexican Association of Tourist Cruises predicts an increase in arrivals nationwide of between 12% and 15%.
Arturo Musi, representative of the shipping lines in Mexico, pointed out that “February is an excellent month for the arrival of cruise ships. We are in the high season. We are going to have an increase in arrivals to Los Cabos, and this is interesting. Also, in other parts of the state such as La Paz and Loreto, although they are few. We have also had arrivals to Santa Rosalía and this is very encouraging.”
The increase in the arrival of cruise passengers during this season will also depend on whether the federal government approves the charge of $42 US per passenger coming ashore.
For this month, Los Cabos has 20 cruise ship arrivals scheduled, including four double arrivals, which will strengthen tourist activity in the port.
