Were you excited to enjoy your favorite game sitting in your living room eating your KFC?
Oops! That is not going to happen, at least not in San Jose.
Delivery guys from platforms such as Didi, Rappi and Uber Eats raised their voices Thursday due to the long waits to receive their orders at the KFC located in San José del Cabo. According to testimonies, some have had to wait more than two hours to obtain their orders, which has generated frustration and chaos in the establishment.
A group of approximately 15 delivery drivers, fed up with the situation, made the decision to temporarily block access to the drive through as a measure to pressure the staff and demand an immediate response. “They ignored us completely; they did not attend to our requests. We had no choice but to position ourselves at the entrance so that they would pay attention to us,” said one of those affected.
Additionally, customers who visited the restaurant reported similar experiences. “The attendance here is brutal, both in the self-service and in the delivery area. The wait is more than two hours in a place that should offer fast food. It's frustrating and annoying,” commented an upset customer.
The operational collapse appears to be a consequence of high demand, both in the restaurant and on delivery platforms, which has exceeded the capacity of staff and internal organization. Despite being a fast-food establishment, many delivery drivers and customers agree that the service and waiting times do not meet expectations.
So far, KFC has not issued an official response to the allegations. Delivery people and consumers expect the restaurant to implement measures to speed up the service and prevent this type of inconvenience from happening again.
