For the 2025 Spring Break season, it is estimated that up to 50,000 students will arrive in Los Cabos, five thousand more than in 2024. The direct economic impact will be about 30 million dollars.
Robbin Hernández, president of the Association of Professionals and Business Leaders, commented that although in 2024 there were difficulties in the tourism sector, a positive outlook is perceived for the spring holidays.
He also said that this year, for the first time, there has been a decrease in students in other Mexican destinations such as Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. Rosarito, Baja California and Los Cabos has increased, and the 50 thousand students contemplated are already confirmed by the payment of their reservation.
They seek to change the dynamics of activities and tourist offerings. While in the mornings and afternoons there will be musical events in the hotels, at night, theme parties and more concerts will be offered in establishments in the center of Cabo San Lucas. Businesses will be decorated to give a better image to the visitor.
"The image that we reflect abroad, the security that we have demonstrated and the ability to compete against any destination, has maintained and grown the influx of tourism; this tourism that we bring is the tourism of the future. People will return when they are older," Hernández concluded.
